The range of Biggleston products included metal covers for street utilities. Our Stour Street example (Image 1) is very clear and easy to read. The St Peter’s Street example, apparently an identical casting, is close to impossible to read – the overpainted ‘hydrant’ H almost obliterates the lettering.
