Renaissance Architecture (Domestic)

Period & Description

Renaissance style refers to the revival of classical architecture (ie architecture of ancient Greece and Rome) that began in Italy in the 1400s and spread across Europe.  Application of the term to English architecture is problematic and disputed, but can broadly be applied to buildings of the 1600s.
