Eastern Ambulatory (Bethersden Marble)

Location of eastern ambulatory

The three images below (click to enlarge) show examples of Bethersden marble flooring in this location.

Use of Bethersden Marble as a floor stone can also be seen in the south pane of the cloisters as per the two images below. To find them, look out for the wall tablets (in English and French) commemorating ‘the generous contribution made by the people of Canada in response to the appeal  for the restoration of Canterbury Cathedral’.  The Bethersden stone is nearby.
